USG of Urinary Bladder & Prostate

Protocols

Normal Urinary Bladder Usg Measurement:





1.Urinary bladder volume = Length x A-P diameter x

Transevere diameter x 0.52


2.PVR (post voidal residue) normal value 0


3.But less then 30 ml is considered as normal


4.Wall thickness: less then 4mm (when full)& Less then 8 mm (when empty)

➡️Sonographically they are mobile, echogenic, and shadow distally. They may be associated with bladder wall thickening due to inflammation.



Normal Prostate measurement:



➡️Length: 3 cm


➡️Width : 4 cm


➡️A-P diameter: 2 cm


➡️Prostate Volume =( Length x Width x A-P)x0.52


➡️Normal prostate volume upto 20 ml or 20 gm

{1 ml=1gm}


Increased Prostate volume :

1. BEP

2.Ca Prostate
