Protocols
Clinical Features:
- 1)Immediate pain in the knee after a direct blow or twist.
- 2)Pain with movement or activity in the knee.
- 3)Swelling in the knee.
- 4)Walking with a limp or a feeling that the knee is going to “give out” with standing and walking.
- 5)The feeling of a “pop” or “snap” felt in the knee when the injury occurred.
Rx:
1st & 2nd degree injuries(mild to moderate):
- PRICE Method
- P=Protection
- R=Rest
- I=Ice
- C=Compression
- E=Elevation & early immobilization
3rd degree(severe) injuries :
- Splinting or knee
- immobilizer and surgical repair if needed
if pain:
1. Tab.Naprox(500mg) (Naproxen)
- 1+0+1…...(after meal)..7 days (if pain)
2. Tab.Myloax/Lexaton(50mg) (Tolperisone)
- 1+1+1…….10 days(after meal)
3. Cap.Sergel(Esomeprazol) (20mg)
- 1+0+1……10 days
4. Tab.Rivo(0.5mg)(clonazepam)
- 0+0+1…...10 days
5. Physiotherapy: Neurodynamics
6. Use Crepe bandage
