Protocols

Clinical Features: 

General S/S:

  • Infertility.
  • Loss of interest in sex.
  • Low bone mass.
  • Milky discharge from your nipples when not pregnant or chestfeeding (galactorrhea).

Female -S/S:

  • Changes in menstruation not related to menopause, such as irregular periods (menstruation) or no periods (amenorrhea).
  • Pain or discomfort during penetrative sex due to vaginal dryness.

Male -S/S

  • Erectile dysfunction (ED).
  • Low levels of testosterone.
  • Enlarged breast tissue (gynecomastia).


Investigation: 
  • Serum Prolactin level 
  • Prolactin stimulation test 
  • Serum TSH & FT4
  • Pregnancy Test 
  • MRI Of Brain

Rx:

1. Tab. Cabolin (0.5mg) 
1st week =1/2 or  0.25mg tab  stat 
2nd week= 1/2 or 0.25mg  tab 2 dose in week
3 week= 1 or 0.5mg  tab 2 dose in week
OR
Tab.Bromolac(2.5mg) ...1+0+1......3 days 

2. Treatment of underlying causes
  • Pituitery adenoma
  • hypothyroidism
