Renal Cyst

Protocols

Clinical Features:

  • 1)Pain in the side between the ribs and hip, stomach or back.
  • 2)Fever.
  • 3)Frequent urination (having to go the bathroom often).
  • 4)Blood in the urine, or dark urine.


Investigations:

  • 1) Usg of KUB 
  • 2)Serum cretinine
  • 3)X-ray KUB 

Rx: 

  • Usually treatment no need.

➡️When cyst produce symptoms the surgical treatment may need..... 

  •  Piercing and draining the cyst, then filling it with a solution. The solution causes scarring and helps prevent the cyst from filling with fluid again. Alcohol or a chemical compound may be used as the solution. 
  • Surgery to remove the cyst. A large cyst that's causing symptoms may require surgery.
