Clinical Features :

1)sore throat.

2)fever.

3)swollen lymph glands.

4)headaches.

5)fatigue.

6)muscle aches.

7)wart-like patches around skin folds or genitals.(Small, painless sore (chancre) on the genitals, anus, or mouth)

8)loss of appetite

• 
  

  Investigations: 
  

  • 1. TPHA (+ve after 6 wks )
  • 2. Venereal disease research laboratory (VDRL) test.
  • The VDRL test checks blood or spinal fluid for an antibody that can be produced in people who have syphilis. 
  • 3. Rapid plasma reagin (RPR) test. The RPR test also finds syphilis antibodies.
  • 4. Rapid immunochromatographic test.

  *** TPHA is positive 6-12 months after completete treatment.

Inj.Ceftron(Ceftriaxone) (500mg)

• IM daily .....10 days (if no penicilline anaphylaxsis)

OR 

Tab.Zimax(azithromycin) (500mg) 

• 0+0+1........10 days 

OR 

Tab.Eromycin DS(Erythromycin)(500mg)

• 0+0+1........14 days 

Late latent ,Cardiovascular & gummatous syphilis:

• 1+০+1......28 days

Neuro-Syphilis (opthalmic/neurological involvement):

• 1+০+1......28 days

OR 

Inj.Ceftron(Ceftriaxone) (2g)

• IM /IV daily/BD .....10 -14 days (if no penicilline anaphylaxsis)

• যৌন মিলনের সময় কনডম ব্যবহার করবেন
