Protocols

Clinical Features:


1. Yellowish colour crust on face, arm & leg.

2. Itching with mild pain

3. commonly school going child

4. Lesion spread rapidly & contagious


Treatment:

🗒ī¸Rx:

1. Syp.Flustar([post id="405" title="Flucloxacillin"]) 250mg/5ml

12.5mg/kg/dose....6hourly....7days 

12.5--25 mg/kg/dose

 

➡7-10 kg : ā§§Â āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻšÂ ā§Ē āĻŦā§‡āĻ˛āĻžÂ (āĻ–āĻžāĻŦāĻžāĻ°Â ā§§Â āĻ˜āĻ¨ā§āĻŸāĻžÂ āĻ†āĻ—ā§‡)

➡10-15 kg:ā§§.ā§Ģ āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻšÂ ā§Ē āĻŦā§‡āĻ˛āĻž(āĻ–āĻžāĻŦāĻžāĻ°Â ā§§Â āĻ˜āĻ¨ā§āĻŸāĻžÂ āĻ†āĻ—ā§‡)

➡15-20 kg:ā§¨Â āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻšÂ ā§Ē āĻŦā§‡āĻ˛āĻžÂ (āĻ–āĻžāĻŦāĻžāĻ°Â ā§§Â āĻ˜āĻ¨ā§āĻŸāĻžÂ āĻ†āĻ—ā§‡)

 

OR 

Syrup.Furotil ([post id="400" title="Cefuroxime"])(125mg/5ml)

20 mg/kg/days ....2 times daily ....7 days 

 

➡6-12 month:ā§§/ā§¨ āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻš ā§¨ āĻŦāĻžāĻ°

➡1-3 year: ā§§ āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻš ā§¨ āĻŦāĻžāĻ°

 

➡4-5 years: 1.5 āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻš ā§¨ āĻŦāĻžāĻ°


2.  Mupiderm  ([post id="524" title="Mupirocin"] ointment

2 times daily for ...14 days 

OR 

Xzema/Fusicort cream ([post id="540" title="Click"]) āĻ†āĻ•ā§āĻ°āĻžāĻ¨ā§āĻ¤ āĻ¸ā§āĻĨāĻžāĻ¨ā§‡ āĻĻāĻŋāĻ¨ā§‡ ā§¨ āĻŦāĻžāĻ°....ā§§ā§Ē āĻĻāĻŋāĻ¨āĨ¤

3. Syrup. Sinamin ([post id="531" title="Chlorpheniramine"])( (2mg/5ml)

Average dose:

➡6-12 month:ā§§/ā§¨Â āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻšÂ ā§¨Â āĻŦāĻžāĻ°

➡1-5 year: ā§§Â āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻšÂ ā§¨Â āĻŦāĻžāĻ°

➡6-10 years: 1.5 āĻšāĻžāĻŽāĻšÂ ā§¨Â āĻŦāĻžāĻ°


Prevention:

1.Take a bath or shower regularly.

2.Use soap to keep your skin clean.

3.Watch out for skin that's scraped or irritated, like a mosquito bite.

Keep those areas clean and covered and don't scratch.

4.Wash your hands regularly with soap.

5.Keep your nails short and clean.
