Clinical Features:

1.Ring-shaped rash that is itchy, scaly and slightly raised.

2. Raised border with central clearing

dermatophytes

Investigation:

1.Specific : Skin craping for fungus 

2.RBS

3.SGPT

D/D:

1.Granuloma Annulare

2.Anular Psoriasis

Treatment of Tinea Corporis:

🗒️Rx:(All drugs are pregnancy safe)

1. Cap.Flugal ([post id="554" title="Fluconazole"]) (50mg)...0+0+1.....15 days (after meal)

Or

Tab.Xfin ([post id="555" title="Terbinafine"]) (250mg) ...1+0+1..........6 weeks 

OR

Cap.Itra ([post id="556" title="Itraconazole"]) (100mg) ........0+0+1......6 weeks 

2.Fungidal cream([post id="565" title="Miconazole"])  3 times ..… 1 months 

3.Nizoder shampoo ([post id="553" title="Ketoconazole"])daily to wash affected area.... 2-3 months

(মাথা সহ অন্য জায়গায় অল্প পানি দিয়ে ফেনা তৈরি করে ১০ মিনিট রেখে ধুয়ে  ফেলতে হবে।)

4.Tab.Xyril ([post id="534" title="Hydroxyzine"]) (10mg) ...1+0+1........1 month

5.Cap.Pantonix ([post id="393" title="Pantoprazole"])(20mg)

1+0+1.............10 days (before meal)

 If any Secondary infection:

Tab.Furotil plus([post id="400" title="Cefuroxime"]) (500mg) ...1+0+1......7 days(to Prevent 2ndry infection)

Advice:

1. Dont share hats ,towels or combs

2. Keep your skin clean and dry.

3.Wear shoes that allow air to circulate freely around your feet.

4.Don't walk barefoot in areas like locker rooms or public showers.

5.Clip your fingernails and toenails short and keep them clean.

6.Avoid soap 

7.Follow up 

8.Change your socks and underwear at least once a day.
